Announcing Today’s Find Shoppe!

Exciting things are happening with Call Sheilah!

One of the greatest gifts we give our move in/move out and downsizing clients is permission to pass along their cherished (and not so cherished) items in a meaningful and useful manner. We have done this in a myriad of ways, always carefully considering the client’s desire and direction.

Since the business began six years ago, Call Sheilah! has provided services to sell items for clients through virtual sales, exclusive sales, private collector transactions, or running actual garage, home, or yard sales. All of these methods cost clients money, and oftentimes they’ll invest more in selling their items than is gained in the long run. We are always transparent about the cost of doing that kind of business, and oftentimes the client will say “just make the stuff go away fast.” This likely involves an outside vendor or a junk hauler, which can also be costly.

With that said, more often than not, our clients are in a position to donate their belongings to charities, to friends and family, or to people in need in their community, and for their generosity, our team is incredibly grateful. After several years of thinking about an efficient way that Call Sheilah! can store, sell, and donate some of these items in a way that benefits the community and the Capital Region as a whole, we’ve finally turned these thoughts into action.

Today’s Find Shoppe is the mechanism we have developed to do just that. Visit the shop, where you will find some of the beautiful and unique items we feature. After these items sell through the Shoppe and we cover our storage and other costs, we donate a percentage of the profit to charitable organizations that Call Sheilah! has been passionately supporting since the business started. 

In December of each year, starting in 2022, our clients can request information about sales and contributions that we were able to make as a result of their donation and our eBay sales.
